Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. - Hebrews 10:36
Endurance is needed for this life. We need to be able to stand firm in God's strength, to withstand hardship & adversity, abide, continue, not give up, be persistent.
I have been quiet on my blog the past couple of months. There have been major breakthroughs and answers to prayers that I have prayed/contended for, for the past 15 years. It's a testimony in the making. There have also been major challenges, growth, stretching, pain, and letting go.
There is change in the air and when we live for Jesus, we have GOT to let Him lead. We need to step out of the way, and LET Him lead. Lay down our pride, our self efforts & plans, the way we see things. Back to the foundation of our faith - let Jesus into every area of our lives, give Him everything. Hand over our marriage, our health, our kids, our finances, our fertility, our ministry, our business, our career plans, our future. Let Him into every crack and corner of our hearts. Allow Him to heal, restore, and put things back together.
The way to endure is to be at His feet, in the Word, speaking scriptures out loud, worship, praise. Not to coerce God to do our bidding or make things go our way. Heck no. But out of humble obedience, to strengthen our spirit, to put Him first above all else in our life. He alone is our strength. He alone is our everything. We live for Him!
If you were to live the rest of your life here on earth and never get what you wanted, would you still love God? Would you still worship Him? Is He truly your everything?
Lord, help us to lay everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, down at Your feet. Purge us from all pride, doing things our own way, thinking we know best. Purify us. Give us Your strength to face whatever may come. Help us to endure and press through, to keep our eyes on You, for Your love to be enough. You satisfy the deepest parts of our souls. Help us to have gratitude no matter what is happening in our lives and around us. We love you. We choose with our own will, to follow You and do Your will while we're here on earth. In Jesus' precious name, amen.
